Few projects let us combine bold illustration with large-format vehicle wrapping quite like this one. The Brisbane City Council Mobile Library truck travels across the city bringing books to the community, so its wrap needed to be every bit as inviting as the service itself.
The Artwork
The design draws on much-loved stories — with influences from The Jungle Book, Peter Pan, Life of Pi and Jack and the Beanstalk — woven together into a single, immersive scene.
Recognisable Brisbane landmarks sit alongside the storybook elements: the Wheel of Brisbane, city high-rises and the Brisbane River flow into a lush jungle scene that wraps right around the vehicle. The result is a truck that sparks imagination the moment it arrives.

The Materials
Quality materials are what keep a wrap looking sharp for years on the road. For this project we used:
- Avery Supreme Wrap High Gloss Satin Black on the cab
- Avery White 1005, laminated for UV and scratch resistance, across the printed body panels
- Avery Supreme Matte Black to pick out the river detailing

The Application
The graphics were printed in-house on our Roland printer, producing roughly 100 lineal metres of finished vinyl.
A team of five installers worked across three days to apply the wrap, carefully aligning the artwork over the truck’s curves, rivets and panel gaps for a seamless finish.

The Final Result
The finished Mobile Library truck is now a familiar — and very popular — sight around Brisbane. You can find its current stops and timetable on the Brisbane City Council Mobile Library page.
